A wonderful trip to Danger Island

A holiday into a holiday, why not? So we decided to do some Wwoofing to cover the free week that lay before us. If we could find a nice host that was willing to take us on the 1st of January, that is…

Luck was on our side as we were accepted by the crème de la crème of wwoofing hosts: Sue & Tony. They live on an island 50km north of Sydney, where everybody knows everybody. We were picked up at the train station with their little boat (I say little, because they also have a big one, a nice one, a wonderful one) and off we went.

Instead of hard work, it was lots of talking, lots of laughter and lots of great fun! Sue and Tony showed us the area, took us hiking and swimming, invited us for NY parties with their friends, made Tom even more crazy about sailing boats, and showed us an unsurpassed hospitality!

We’re already making plans for our next visit to Dangar Island… Thank you Sue and Tony! – MJ

** No no, the island is not at all dangerous. In fact it is called Dangar, but I’m curious to see whether a title like that attracted some more readers 😉
